Tahoe Design + Build brings residential design, permitting, and construction together to create homes that fit the way you live. We build custom homes, renovate Tahoe cabins, and transform existing properties through additions, kitchen and bathroom remodels, and outdoor improvements.

We help you move from initial ideas to a clear scope, realistic budget, and finished home—with guidance and communication throughout the process.

An Established Company with a Personal Approach

Tahoe Design + Build is the Truckee and North Lake Tahoe DBA of Outerlands Design Inc., a California design-build company established in 2008. Our company has completed more than 100 projects across California, bringing together creative design, practical construction experience, and careful attention to detail.

Led by founder Jared Johnson, we work closely with owners to understand their priorities and develop solutions that balance appearance, function, and cost. Whether you want to choose every finish or would like help narrowing the options, we adapt our approach to your needs.
